Modernization seems to be changing the use of paper, today more currents seem to be using paper for sanitary products, packaging and office paper among other uses. Unfortunately, most of this paper goes as a waste. A study by Foghmontensen et al. (2001 p. 12), show that paper, pulp, and board take up 45% of the world’s commercial timber. In addition, many countries use paper for their packaging. In Europe, Asia, America, and many other countries, paper production manages these forests eliminating the non-timber uses, which is crucial for the local people. In addition, cutting down forests for paper production affects biodiversity and the environment, which includes water and soil. Further research shows that foreigners often purchase these forest plantations, and this keeps the local government from their control. According to a report by UNEP (2013), paper production may sometimes use non-timber plant materials like the bamboo forests that seem to disappear slowly in India. These plants have environmental effects similar to the timber forests especially during wood pulp production. During paper production, there are ranges of pollutant emissions, which pollute the water and marine ecosystems whether through chemical or mechanical bleaching. These pollutants equally affect the human health. The wastes from paper production fill the landfill sites although paper recycling is now common especially because it saves energy and resources. It is unfortunate how these loggers continue clearing the natural forests considering that these forests help in rain formation. Industries have cleared the natural forests in order to have the fabricated forest. These forests are homes to much wildlife, and clearing these forests affects their habitat. Child Responsibilities Essay Example for Free

Child Responsibilities Essay Many parents may be very strict on their kids when it comes to doing things like playing with fire, using power tools, having a job, or even owning a pocket knife, but I on the other hand, disagree. Although I understand that it’s very dangerous for kids to be handling such things, it also builds their character. You wouldn’t just allow any kid to be in charge of such thing, they must have maturity and responsibility up to a certain point to be able to be trusted in these situations. A speech titled â€Å"5 Dangerous Things you should let your kid do† by Gever Tulley on TED.com talks about kids who are allowed and even encouraged to do things most parents would never dare to let their kids be involved in. Tulley discusses how kids who participate in these activities build strong character. It’s good for kids to be in these kinds of environments as long as they already have responsibility up to a certain level. An issue similar to this that is thrown around in politic and economic discussions now days is child labor. Should we allow kids to have jobs? Should families who are economically struggling allow their kids to work in order to bring in enough food and necessities to the family? I don’t see a problem in child labor. Like Tulley, I agree with these ideas and think they build better personalities and make a child more understanding. Although, I do not think that a family should be able to force a kid to work, it’s also important to a kid’s childhood that they get a chance to be a kid, and not have to worry about work. The earlier a person starts working, the bigger chance they have to be successful in life. I can understand why some parent’s wouldn’t be willing to let their kids be in such environments, these environments can be very unsafe sometimes. A kid could have the possibility of cutting a finger off, or doing something that they would have to live with for the rest of their lives, but with adult supervision this is less likely to happen. Although UNICEF has stated that children are more likely to get hurt then adults because they have yet to learn what not to do, we have to understand that getting hurt can happen in any activity that a person participates in, that’s just part of life.

Their parents were in a dispute over rent money; Thisbe’s father was the manager of the apartments and Pyramus’s parents had been late on their payments for a few months now. The kids were not allowed to talk or to see each other. One thing, however, they could not forbid- their young and carefree love that pound in each others hearts. They conversed by signs and glances, and the fire burned more intensely for being covered up. In the wall that parted the two apartments there was a crack, caused by the buildings old structure. No one had observed it before, but the lovers discovered it. What love can discover. As they stood, Pyramus on one side, Thisbe on the other, they would whisper to each other innocent non-sense. "Damn this freaking wall," they said, "Why do you keep us apart?† Such words they uttered on different sides of the wall; and when the night came and they must say goodnight, they would tell the other of how they are kissing the wall and imagining it was other. Next morning, when the sun had resin above the tallest skyscraper, and the city filled with busy noise and smog, they unveiled their plan to see each other. They had agreed to sneak out at night, they would wait till the routine police car had passed their block, and then each would run and meet at the old winery and wait till the other arrived. All was agreed on, and they waited impatiently for the sun to go down b eneath the buildings and night to rise up from them. Then cautiously Thisbe opened her back window- unsuspected by her parents, put a white scarf around her, waited for the police car to pass and escaped. As she sat alone in the dim light under one of the old street lights, she saw a drunk old man approaching her. With a thirst in his eyes Thisbe fled the sight, and sought refuge in the back alleys of the streets. As she fled she dropped her scarf. The drunken old man was hurt and was going to ask Thisbe for some help but just found a scarf on the ground and wiped his wound with it. Pyramus, late only because he had stopped at a local gas station to get some snacks for his dear love, finally arrived at the old winery.

This evolved into a form of study beginning in the 19th century as scientists began to observe and study differences in social classes among people. To fund this new plan, the taxes paid for by higher income families, middle-class families, and the health industry rose and created more of a stretch for cash for the middle-class families. Since they make up much of American citizens the economy is struggling to keep up. It also created a rise in health care prices short term due to all of the new parts to the coverage and the increased usage of these services. The ACA has the ability to ruin the economy and can be the difference between adding millions of more dollars to our debt or finally demanding individual responsibility. This is what the AHCA is about as it teaches people to provide for themselves rather than rely on a country that is already trillions of dollars in debt. There are many concerns regarding the AHCA and what it truly entails. Many fear they will lose their health care or will not qualify to receive it. While this is an understandable fear for many, it is not exactly reasonable. AHCA is a law that is very similar to ACA. It still works to provide people with quality health care and insurance but simply thinks that not everyone needs to participate. This is something that was a big concern for many as they did not want to be turned away from insurance companies. The fear for many that are against AHCA is the quantity of health care providers that are available to help more people, what they are not looking at however is the quality of healthcare and how it is diminishing under Obamacare (Sataline). The quality of healthcare is slowly dwindling under the ACA, this is because there is a shortage of doctors willing to work under such conditions. It is estimated that the nation could be facing a shortage of up to 150,000 doctors in the upcoming 15 years, which will, in turn, cause a higher demand for doctors and prices will, again, start to rise. There is also a fear that because there will be such a shortage, that many patients will be turned away to focus on the more serious cases presented (Cusack). This is a problem as it can actually mean that fewer people are being provided with adequate health care and more people will have to find alternative methods of care. Since more people have access to health insurance using the ACA, the misuse of it will also increase creating crowding in ERs, hospitals, and clinics which will further the diminishing quality of healthcare under Obamacare. In conclusion, the ACA provides many with health care and insurance that they may not have been able to receive before. However, this is at the expense of the millions of middle and higher income families and individuals who must pay extra to support the ones who can not support themselves. This causes confusion within the different groups about who should pay what and how much. The ACA has been shown to be unconstitutional due to its lack of regard for the peoples freedom of choice, the strain it puts on huge groups in society, and lack of effectiveness it is having for most Americans. Their efforts to get people to involve themselves in obtaining health insurance have been unsuccessful with many people finding ways around the bigger payments that must be made to the insurance companies. It is also hard on the companies as they are being forced to create plans that suit the Obamacare requirements and many are shutting things down completely. While this plan works in theory, in real life many people are not so care-free with their money and work hard to obtain it in order to pay for the things that they want or need. Regulating what we pay for is going against our basic rights and our freedom of choice and because of that, it is unconstitutional in nature.

The Standards Of Education The No Child Left Behind Act...

The values of education have been promised to get better by the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB), but instead the values have dramatically decreased. Standardize testing was enabled to help each child receive a fair and just education (Guilfoyle 14). The NCLB was put in place to help each school be able to help the students. Instead, not every school is equal and not every child is receiving the best education the government can provide. Education has become the prime way to be able to get anywhere in this world. Schools size can range from having 1,600 to 59 students in the schools. Each child should have the opportunity to have a great education, but only few are handed the education to allow them to succeed. Poor education options in the public schools are harming the students of a boundless education. The current use of testing is not helping students to better themselves in education, but harm their learning.
